Reasonings

Who is this stranger in the mirror?

Eyes filled with mystery, wonder and fear

Beneath the moon that is seeking his mate.

What is this desire to run?

Listening for the whispered sounds of doors that open and slam by fate.

Where should this journey lead?

To the water’s edge to taste or drown or swim upstream til I am found

Alive and resting in my quiet?

When will I learn to surrender?Release agendas, grand designs.

Trust the still small voice inside

And follow paths to higher ground.

Why should I drink from other’s dreams?

My poisons are their finest wines

Casting shadows round my mind

Subtle theft of inspiration.

How can I cast my soul to the heavens?

Lay me down in the sweet starlight

And sail the edges of the sky.
