My Baby Shines

  • Maybe you’ve driven a car like this?

My baby shines in the curves

And he shows a lot of nerve

When he drives me into town

It's hard to keep his motor down

My baby only drinks the best

    Ninety-one octane and no less

Goes through tires like running shoes

Gives my wallet poor girl blues

Go momma. Go momma's all he says

Put the top down and give it some lead

I'm tired of being parked on the side of the road

Take me to the curves - gotta loosen my load

    My baby's always gotta go

He has a tough time going slow

I polish him until he shines

And drive until I ease my mind

My baby plays the music loud

On roads that go right through the clouds

When his engine starts to spark

    It accelerates my heart

Go momma. Go momma's all he says

Put the top down and give it some lead

I'm tired of being parked on the side of the road

Take me to the curves - gotta loosen my load
